Shin Megami Tensei V Bethel Trailer Teases Dangerous Demons

by Salal Awan

Atlus has released a lengthy trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V. If you weren’t sure about the game, perhaps this one will convince you to get it.

If you haven’t played any previous Shin Megami Tensei game, perhaps now is the time to get started with it. The upcoming mainline game won’t really require you to play through any of the previous games, since these games are mostly standalone with new characters. Think of them as Final Fantasy, but they do share the same monsters and lore between the different games.

In the case of Shin Megami Tensei V, it appears that the focus is on a more mature-Persona adventure. It won’t come across as a surprise. While Persona is a rather light-hearted slice-of-life take on the Shin Megami Tensei brand, save for Persona 3 (that was dark!), Shin Megami Tensei is the complete opposite. It is also a lot more difficult than the Persona series and not quite user-friendly as well.

If you are hungry for some Persona games, then you should give the already available Shin Megami Tensei 3 a chance. It is available on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The new quality-of-life changes to the game make it better suited for newcomers. Anyways, coming to the point, this new Bethel trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V looks amazing. It teases the story, characters, and villains.

SMT V is confirmed to launch on November 12, 2021. It is currently confirmed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive and won’t be available on any other platforms. At least, not at launch.
