SEGA and RGG Studio have announced that Stranger Than Heaven has surpassed 1 million wishlists across all platforms, more than four months ahead of its January 2027 launch. The milestone also makes it RGG Studio’s most wishlisted game ever before release.
The upcoming action adventure saga has attracted more than 1 million wishlists ahead of its launch, marking a strong early response for RGG Studio’s latest project. A recent trailer also provided a closer look at the game’s cast and story.
Stranger Than Heaven follows a 50 year saga centred on men who have nowhere to go and their desperate attempts to find a place they can call home. The story spans five cities and different eras of modern Japan.
Gameplay will combine a constantly evolving combat system with musical performances. Players will rely on brutal fighting to survive while also using their musical abilities to succeed as a showman.
Stranger Than Heaven is scheduled to launch on January 14, 2027 for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam and PlayStation 5.
