Take-Two CEO talks about the launch issues of the GTA Trilogy calling it a glitch that was resolved. He adds that the game did great for the company.
In an interview with CNBC’s ‘Squawk on the Street’ show that was published on YouTube, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked some questions regarding their acquisition of Zynga. One of these questions also related to the launch of the GTA Trilogy which was a mess by all accounts.
“And with regards to the GTA trilogy, that was actually not a new title. That was a remaster of preexisting titles, ” mentions Zelnick.
“We did have a glitch in the beginning, that glitch was resolved. And the title of has done just great for the company. So we’re very excited. We have an amazing pipeline going forward. Zynga has an incredible pipeline going forward. And together, we think we can do a whole lot more than what’s already been announced.”
During its launch, GTA: The Trilogy suffered from numerous issues ranging from visual bugs to straight-up game-breaking glitches. It received multiple updates since then and while the frequency of the updates has come to a standstill, there are still many issues with the game that have been left untouched.
