The Last of Us Part 2 Gets an Official Cinematic TV Spot
Sony Interactive Entertainment has made an official cinematic to promote the upcoming release of The Last of Us Part 2. Have a look at it below.
Sony usually releases these cinematic TV spots ahead of the launch of its major games. They have done it with almost every first-party release from Days Gone to Uncharted 4. These ad spots usually give a glimpse of the story and showcase gameplay elements. While these might not be real-time, they still do a good job of selling the concept of the game.
The new TV spot for The Last of Us Part 2 has aired recently and it can be viewed below. It was seen on ESPN in addition to another TV spot that marketed the June 4th event, that was delayed at the last possible minute.
The Last of Us Part 2 was originally set to launch in February but after two delays, it was finally set for a June 19 release date. The game is out exclusively for the PS4 and will also support the upcoming PS5.
Early in May, major story spoilers were leaked from the game showcasing the major plot twists. The game will continue the story of Joel and Ellie and it is set after the events of the first entry in the series. It was originally announced back at PSX 2016 and was then subsequently showcased at other major events.
Sony Interactive Entertainment remains confident in the quality of the game which can be seen with their review embargo. It is set for June 12 or almost a full week before the launch of the game itself. It is also one of the largest PS4 exclusives when it comes to the game file size and requires a minimum of 100 GB of hard disk space.
