The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Appears To Have Leaked Two Weeks Early

One of the most eagerly awaited games for the Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, has reportedly leaked almost two weeks before its official release date. Screenshots and information from the game have already surfaced online, raising concerns that a downloadable copy could follow soon. This is not the first time a high-profile Nintendo Switch game has leaked early, as seen with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which also appeared online before its scheduled release.

Although Tears of the Kingdom was a story-driven game with heavy spoilers, the leak of Echoes of Wisdom may not have the same immediate impact in terms of narrative revelations. However, for fans eagerly anticipating the game, an early leak can still result in unwanted spoilers in the form of videos and images circulating across various platforms.

Nintendo games typically have a review embargo in place before their official release date, so the same might be true for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Reviews for the game could be published around September 22 or during its launch week.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom invites players to once again save the kingdom of Hyrule—this time through the wisdom and resourcefulness of Princess Zelda. With strange rifts appearing across Hyrule and its people mysteriously disappearing, including the iconic swordsman Link, Princess Zelda takes center stage as the hero.

Teaming up with a mystical fairy named Tri, Zelda must master the Tri Rod, a powerful tool that allows her to create “echoes” of objects and creatures found in the environment. These echoes can be summoned at will to solve puzzles, reach new areas, and defeat enemies. The creativity of the echo system allows players to form their solutions, such as creating water blocks for height, building bridges, or even summoning echoes of monsters to assist in battle.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to officially launch for the Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024.
