CD Projekt Red has shared a new update for The Witcher 3 on PC after the next-gen patch was released earlier in December. This hotfix has made several improvements to the game including Steam Deck.
The Witcher 3 launched in a terrible state for PC when the next-generation version was released in December. We have already covered it extensively but there have been quite a lot of issues with the game that was verified by CD Projekt Red. However, a patch that was released recently appears to have solved some of the performance issues to an extent.
Another new patch appears to have gone live for the PC version of The Witcher 3, and this update has solved some issues with the photo mode, Arabic localization, and more.
The Witcher 3 PC Update December 22 Patch Notes
We’ve released another hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC. On top of further overall stability improvements it also introduces a number of fixes, including:
- fixes to photo mode,
- fixes to the Arabic language in the game,
- fix to the bug with toxicity stuck at max level,
- Steam Deck improvements,
- and more.
The game version won’t change.
There is no change to the in-game version as this is a hotfix. The improvements here are focused on Steam Deck, localization, and photo mode. Unlike the last patch, there doesn’t appear to be any change made to the performance of the game.
The Witcher 3 update has added plenty of new content including a brand new quest as well as a photo mode. The update was released for free to all owners of the game currently as well. If you are one of the users who had experienced issues with the game on PC, it is best to apply this new hotfix since it might be resolved.
The Witcher 3 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
