During the promotion of the Ubisoft Plus subscription that offers more than 100 games, the publisher said the service is coming ‘soon’ to Game Pass.

This was posted by Ubisoft Netherlands in a response to a fan’s comment that asked them to bring this to the Xbox Game Pass subscription. They replied simply saying “soon” suggesting that they are planning to drop the subscription on Game Pass.

Update: Ubisoft has clarified their comment and issued the following statement.

“Apologies for the confusion! We need to get this straight. Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox in the future, but nothing is known about Xbox Game Pass yet. For example, Rainbow Six Extraction is already available for Xbox Game Pass. Sorry for any false hopes! No further information is known about this yet.”

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate currently offers an EA Play subscription in addition to Game Pass for PC, Xbox One, and xCloud. If Ubisoft Plus heads to Game Pass Ultimate, it will further boost its popularity and add value to its subscription. It costs $14.99 per month to subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate or roughly $180 per year.

Ubisoft Plus is currently available for PC and has more than 100 games offered with its subscription. Ubisoft is also planning to bring this service to consoles beginning with Xbox. It could be possible that Ubisoft Plus is offered as part of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but we need to wait and see for now.

The current pricing model of Ubisoft Plus costs €14.99 per month and it is not just limited to games but also includes the season pass and downloadable content for any of the Ubisoft games that are available on this service. The premium editions of these games are also offered to all subscribers at launch.
