Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Pre-Load Date & Download Size Revealed

The download size and digital pre-load date for Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive’s upcoming third-person shooter hack-n-slash game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, have been revealed.

PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on PS5, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers, while the game’s Xbox Store page has also been updated with its respective download size on Xbox Series X|S. The adventure in the Warhammer 40,000 series will take up a decent chunk of storage space on both consoles. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that internal SSD expansion options are available for those who need them.

The pre-load for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on PS5 will come with the latest update i.e. version 1.001.000, pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to release on September 9, 2024. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is the sequel to 2011’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. It is set to release on September 5, 2024, for owners of either the Gold or Ultra Editions and on September 9, 2024, for those who purchased the Standard Edition. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players will assume control of Titus, a lieutenant of the Ultramarines chapter and the main character from the first game. Titus is joined by fellow Space Marines Chairon and Gadriel, who can be controlled by other players in cooperative multiplayer mode or by AI in single-player mode.
