Xbox will likely be at Gamescom This Year

Despite its forthcoming showcase in June, Xbox will likely be present at Gamescom this year, according to the latest rumor. Given the large number of game studios working under Microsoft, there are likely plenty of games to cover across both events. We may also see new trailers or playable demos at the convention for games announced or revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase.

Based on what Windows Central’s Jez Corden has heard, Xbox will be present at Gamescom this year. He points out that this year’s Gamescom will be the first to be held in-person in quite some time. He thinks that Microsoft may save some reveals and announcements for Gamescom. Not a difficult thing to do, given the 23 or so studios that the company owns.

For now, Microsoft’s focus is on June’s Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase. The company is all set to show off what its first-party studios have been working on. The 90-minute presentation will cover all you need to know about the wide range of titles coming to the Xbox ecosystem in the near future, including upcoming Xbox and PC Game Pass releases. Two games that are anticipated to be unveiled during this event are Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI.

While Starfield is set to arrive in November for Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC, The Elder Scrolls VI is still early in development and may not have much of a presence at the showcase, if at all. Similarly, the Indiana Jones game that’s being worked on by Wolfenstein developer Machine Games is likely too early in development for a proper showing. Perhaps a teaser or a short trailer will get a spot during the event.

The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is set to be broadcasted in over 30 languages on several platforms.
