During the Q&A session, a fan asked Monaghan if there’s anything on the horizon, project-wise, that he would be able to share. He responded by saying that he’s already working on the third game in the Star Wars Jedi game series, and that Respawn is currently “in the process of doing it right now”. He mentioned that it is a “big” undertaking, and that when everything is said and done, the studio will come up with something “really cool” for fans.

In response to another question from a fan regarding his favorite thing about the character Turgle, the frog-like resident of the planet Koboh, Monaghan stated that he likes the way Turgle moves and that there’s more to him than the eye. He said that the frog-like being might have some umevil plans of some sort that have yet to be revealed. He added that he looks at him and he just sees one of the most powerful force users in the Galaxy. He joked that maybe he’ll be the main villain in the third game.

The previous entry in the series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It serves as a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), occurring five years after the events of the previous game. The game follows the journey of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Knight, and his companions as they struggle to survive under the rule of the Galactic Empire. It was released on April 28, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One currently in development.
