CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will get multiplayer after the launch of the game. They are also working on DLC for it that will be available after launch.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive open-world RPG from CD Projekt Red. They rose to new fame with The Witcher 3, which has now sold more than 20 million copies. There is a lot of hype behind Cyberpunk 2077 with a gameplay reveal at both E3 2019 and Gamescom.

CD Projekt Red has also answered some questions related to its pre-order and confirmed that they have ditched third-person perspective for cutscenes in the most recent update. They have now hinted at multiplayer support after the game launches in April 2020.
In a tweet which was also a call for recruitment of multiplayer developers, they confirmed that the game will get multiplayer support after launch.
“Until now, the only thing we said about multi was that it was in R&D. As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer’s in the works!”
The tweet continued: “The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) and single player content, and — once we’re done — invite you for some multiplayer action.”

So this is as good of confirmation as it comes directly from CD Projekt Red. There have been rumors previously about the game offering multiplayer but CD Projekt had reaffirmed their support for the single-player story and campaign. CD Projekt Red has also basically confirmed expansions with the announcement of post-launch single-player content.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently scheduled to launch on April 16, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
