Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima held a panel recently at San Diego Comic-Con where he had shared a new video on Heartman. This video is now available to view online.
Heartman is one of the many unique characters in Death Stranding. He was first revealed in the release date trailer for the game where it was confirmed that acclaimed Hollywood director Nicolas Winding Refn will provide the likeness for this character. He was also present with Hideo Kojima during the panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

During the panel, Kojima shared the box art for the Standard and the SteelBook Edition of Death Stranding. He also dropped the tidbit that Keanu Reeves was once suggested in the lead role which was taken by Mads Mikkelsen. Kojima has continued to promote the game on his Twitter account with screenshots and other teasers.
One of the new information that was presented at the San Diego Comic-Con panel was a video showing Heartman. He is one of the key characters in Death Stranding who is stuck in a strange loop. He is a member of the group called Bridges who research the phenomenon behind Death Stranding.
Heartman dies after every 21 minutes and has then three minutes to search for his family on the other side until he is automatically resurrected through automated external defibrillator (AED) on his chest.

The game has now a release date set for November 8, 2019. It will feature a star-studded cast including Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Margaret Qualley, and Emily O’Brien. The game is being developed by Kojima Productions who is using Decime Engine in collaboration with Guerrilla Games. It will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
