Persona 5 Can Run at 4K and 60 FPS But Only On PC

by Ali Haider

Atlus released Persona 5 exclusively for the PS3 and PS4. It is now getting an enhanced expansion but for those with a decent PC, they can enjoy the game at 4K and 60 FPS.

Atlus hasn’t officially released Persona 5 for PC but it is possible to play the game through RPCS3 PS3 emulator on PC. The developers of the emulator are continuing to optimize it and as a result, it is now possible to play the game running at 4K and 60 FPS on PC through the emulator.

The video shows that Persona 5 appears to run without a hitch on PC at a higher 4K resolution and with a better frame rate than the PS4 version. The PS4 version doesn’t support 4K or 60 FPS thus making the PC emulated version the better option here if you have an original copy of the game for PS3.

Atlus is releasing an expanded version of the game with Persona 5 Royal. This will be out exclusively for the PS4 and it will support a higher resolution on the PS4 Pro. There was no confirmation if the frame rate will also be improved in this version but this is unlikely to be the case.

If you were wondering what kind of specs were required to run the game at this resolution and frame rate, here’s the hardware which was used to run the game as seen in the video.

  • i7 8700k @5.0Ghz
  • 16gb DDR4 3200Mhz RAM
  • GTX 1080ti 11gb
  • 256gb NVME M.2 SSD

This is a high-end PC but it should be technically possible to run the game if you have a medium-end PC depending on your hardware specifications. Of course, you will also need to buy a copy of Persona 5 for PS3.
