ARC Raiders Update 1.36.0 Goes Live Early on Xbox, Causing Matchmaking Issues

Embark Studios has confirmed that ARC Raiders Update 1.36.0 accidentally went live early on Xbox, ahead of its planned release across all platforms.

Community manager Ossen acknowledged the issue after players reported receiving the update before schedule. The studio said the update was not intended to launch early and confirmed that PlayStation 5 and PC will still receive it at the planned time on July 7 at 4:00 AM.

Players who have already installed the update on Xbox have been warned that matchmaking will be affected until the update is available everywhere. Embark said Xbox users should expect longer queue times, while cross-play has been temporarily disabled until the scheduled launch.

The studio also advised players to avoid logging into the game on other platforms until then to prevent potential cross-progression conflicts.

“We’ve seen your reports that the 1.36.0 Live Update went live early on Xbox. This wasn’t intended, all other platforms will still get it at the regular time, July 7, 2026 4:00 AM,” Ossen said in a community update.

The message added, “Matchmaking will be impacted, so expect longer queue times. Cross-play is disabled until tomorrow, 4:00 AM. To avoid cross-progression conflicts, we recommend not logging into other platforms until then.”

The update officially launches tomorrow and introduces bug fixes, gameplay balance changes, quality-of-life improvements, matchmaking adjustments and additional fixes for all platforms.
