Activision is working on a reveal for COD Modern Warfare II according to a new rumor. They are planning on announcing it this Summer.
Modern Warfare II will be a continuation of the story that was featured in the 2019 reboot. It will be available for the current and last generation consoles and launch in October.
This rumor comes from Tom Henderson who also talks about the poor sales performance of COD Vanguard, which launched in November. Due to this, Activision might release COD Modern Warfare II in October and release alongside a big COD Warzone patch that will come soon after it.
Modern Warfare was rebooted by Infinity Ward back in 2019 with a brand new engine. This same engine was then used in the next Call of Duty games including Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. This is an advanced form of the engine developed by Infinity Ward that scales well across a variety of different platforms and offers cutting-edge visuals.
COD Warzone is a free-to-play spin-off based on the brand that also gets updates along with the launch of every major Call of Duty game. Modern Warfare II will bring another massive update to COD Warzone based on this new rumor. Details will become clear once an official announcement arrives later this Summer.
