A fresh Dino Crisis remake rumour claims that Capcom began development on a revival of the classic survival horror series in 2022.
The claim comes from Team Biohazard, which shared the information in a Facebook post. According to the group, the project is already in development but is not expected to be announced until around 2028 or 2029 if Capcom follows a similar timeline to its previous remake projects.
The post states, “I’m saying this again for those who missed the info or still ask me the question sometimes. Dino Crisis Remake is 100000% real Development began in 2022 and its announcement could be closer to 2028/2029 if we keep the schedule for a in Capcom remake.”
Team Biohazard added, “Save this post carefully before I’m told to ‘copy’ again as was the case with the leaks I brought about Requiem or very recently Veronica for the SGF.”
Capcom has not announced a remake of Dino Crisis or confirmed that a new entry in the franchise is in development. Despite years of fan requests following the success of the Resident Evil remakes, the company has remained silent on the future of the series.
Originally released in 1999, Dino Crisis was directed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and followed special forces operative Regina as she battled dinosaurs unleashed by a failed scientific experiment. The game became known for replacing zombies with fast-moving prehistoric predators while introducing fully 3D environments that distinguished it from Capcom’s early Resident Evil titles.
As with all unconfirmed reports, Team Biohazard’s claims should be treated as rumour until Capcom makes an official announcement.
