The release date for EA and Bioware’s upcoming action role-playing game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, has been leaked ahead of an official announcement.

A commercial for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was recently released, and it appears to have unintentionally revealed the game’s release date. The date coincides with the release date of the game’s official art book, confirming that it isn’t a placeholder. The aforementioned ad can be seen below.

As per the above ad for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the action role-playing game is set for release on October 31, 2024. EA or Bioware have yet to acknowledge or confirm the stated release date, though it’s highly improbable for the official announcement to be any different.

Previously, during a conversation with IGN, an EA representative had mentioned that Bioware’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature a Quality as well as a Performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. The game runs on the latest version of the Frostbite Engine, and targets a frame rate of 60 fps in Performance mode and 30 fps in Quality mode. As such, players will have the option to choose between graphical fidelity and more responsive controls.

The EA representative didn’t mention any specifics regarding the Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s resolution in both Quality and Performance modes. Though, if we were to take a guess, Quality mode likely operates close to 4K (2160p), while performance mode is likely in the range of 1440p. Both modes may also operate with a dynamic resolution profile. Bioware will have more to share on both graphics modes for consoles in the coming months.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth major installment in the Dragon Age series, it follows the story of Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014). Initially announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022, it was renamed to Dragon Age: The Veilguard in June 2024. The game is set for release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
