Dragon Ball Game – Project Z First Screenshots, Story Details and Dual Audio Confirmed

Dragon Ball Game – Project Z has received its first look trailer and some details. Here is a batch of new screenshots from the game that give us an idea of the visuals.

Bandai Namco has announced this new action RPG project for the Dragon Ball series. It is called Dragon Ball Game – Project Z which has left me wondering if this is indeed the actual name or just a placeholder for now. The press release does state that the full title will be announced later this year.

Bandai Namco has sent a press release that confirms some of the new story details. It is basically a retelling of the events from the Dragon Ball series and dives further into the history of Goku.

The main playable character is confirmed to be Goku. Since it was already announced earlier as an action RPG, this is not going to be another brawler or fighting game.

In this epic retelling, Dragon Ball fans will be able to play through the legendary adventures of the Saiyan named Kakarot… better known as Goku—recounting the beloved story of Dragon Ball Z like never before. Players will experience Goku’s quest for power, his thirst for a challenge and, above all, his desire to protect Earth from the most fearsome of villains. Developed in partnership with CyberConnect2, the game (with full title to be announced) will launch in 2019 featuring both Japanese and English voiceovers.

The big surprise is to see CyberConnect2 working on this game here. They have previously worked on the Naruto Shippuden series for Bandai Namco and while they are a talented bunch of developers, this will be a challenging task for them to get it right as an action RPG. We just have to wait and see when this game launches later in 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
