After the success of Dead Space, EA is sending out a new survey, in which it hints at the possibility of a remake for both Dead Space 2 and 3.

In its survey, EA asks respondents how interested they would be in a remake for both Dead Space 2 and 3 in the same vein as Motive Studio’s Dead Space remake.

Given that the Motive Studio developed Dead Space remake was well-received by both critics and fans, it’s highly likely that EA has potentially greenlit remake projects for both Dead Space 2 and 3. Given the lukewarm reception of Dead Space 3, it’ll be interesting to see whether a potential remake will closely follow the original or be more of a re-imagining.

In related news, Motive Studio had recently revealed that it has further plans for the expansion of the series. Speaking during an interview, senior producer Phil Ducharme and creative director Roman Campos-Oriola discussed plan to further expand the Dead Space series.

In response to a question that asked whether the studio had any idea what it could do with the Dead Space series next, Ducharme stated that the development team hopes to take the series further. There’s interest on his side as well as on Roman’s side in exploring the Dead Space series more. The studio has ideas for where the series could go next. Furthermore, it was stated that, upon returning from vacation, the development team will sit down and discuss what comes next for the series.

Dead Space is a 2023 survival horror video game developed by Motive Studio and published by Electronic Arts.
