Elden Ring Makes Steam Sales History by Taking Four of the Top Five Best Sellers Spots

There was no competition for Elden Ring this week as the game sales occupied four of the top 5 spots on Steam Best Sellers list with Destiny 2.

Elden Ring might have faced criticism over its technical issues but the game itself has proven to be a hit both critically and commercially as seen in the sales chart for Steam this week.

The top best-selling games on Steam for the week ending February 27 include four different entries for Elden Ring and just one for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

  1. Elden Ring
  2. Elden Ring
  3. Elden Ring Deluxe Edition
  4. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition
  5. Elden Ring
  6. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
  7. Steam Deck
  8. Dying Light 2 Stay Human
  9. Total War: Warhammer III
  10. Cyberpunk 2077

The different entries for Elden Ring can be explained by the regional difference. The game is restricted in certain regions so their separate counts a separate entry e.g Japan.

The developers had recently released an update for the game that was aimed at resolving some of the issues that had been reported by the players. They are planning to fix further issues including offering performance improvements.

The game peaked with a concurrent player count of 891K this weekend making it one of the biggest launches for From Software. It is also proving to be incredibly popular on consoles where it was released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
