Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Patch 1.001 for PC brings several key improvements to enhance the player experience. It also targets a bug on Steam Deck.

The update focuses on improving overall stability, ensuring smoother gameplay across various systems. Additionally, the patch addresses an issue where graphics settings defaulted to ‘Low’ on the first Steam Deck launch, now ensuring saved settings are correctly applied on restart. For supported PCs, the Anti-Aliasing Method now defaults to DLSS, providing better visual fidelity and performance. The update also includes an upgrade to the DirectStorage DLL, further optimizing load times and performance.
