Here Are The Games Coming To & Leaving Xbox Game Pass In August 2024

The list of games headed to Xbox Game Pass in wave 1 for the month of August, 2024 have been revealed, and they include Mafia: Definitive Edition.

The new games to be added to the service this month include Mafia: Definitive Edition, Creatures of Ava, and more. Known insider Nate Drake had previously leaked the arrival of Mafia: Definitive Edition to Microsoft’s premium subscription service.

Games Coming To Xbox Game Pass In August 2024

The full list of Xbox Game Pass Games for wave 1 of August, 2024 are as follows:

  • Creatures of Ava (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – August 7
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 8
  • Mafia: Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 13

Prominently featured in August’s Xbox Game Pass catalogue update is Mafia: Definitive Edition, a remake of the 2002’s Mafia. Like the original, the remake is set in the fictional city of Lost Heaven, Illinois, during the 1930s, and follows the story of Tommy Angelo, a Sicilian American cab driver who becomes a gangster in the Salieri crime family. The game features an open world, and players can choose to explore Lost Heaven when not engaged in missions that further the story. Gameplay is based on 2016’s Mafia III, with improved mission dynamics and the addition of motorcycles. The game was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on September 25, 2020, both individually and as part of the Mafia: Trilogy pack.

  • The Wandering Village (Cloud, Console, and PC)
