God of War Ragnarok is out for a few days now. During their search for Tyr in Svartalfheim, players will have to solve a mine puzzle which can be tricky.
Svartalfheim is the first region in God of War Ragnarok where players will have to explore the dwarf realm and perform some sidequests which are called favors in the game. These include freeing the Lyngbark and shutting down the mining rigs. In this guide, we will help you figure out the tricky puzzles that you can encounter in the Mine.
How To Solve Mine Puzzle In God of War Ragnarok
This puzzle is a little tricky to solve and requires you to think with an open mind. There are multiple paths with puzzles when Kratos and Atreus explore the mines in search of Tyr. The first puzzle is rather simple. It will begin immediately once they ride the boat and crash near Sindri. This puzzle requires the player to target a path of water that is flowing to a wheel. They will first need to freeze the water at a specific point using the axe so it drops on the wheel down and opens up a hook from down below. Kratos can then jump from it using Chaos Blade to the next location.
The rest of the puzzles in the mine are pretty easy to figure out, until near the end. This last puzzle requires a bit of head-scratching to solve it. Here is a video of this puzzle if you want to see an easy method to complete it.
First, get Atreus to reach the location near the first water wheel. It has markings on it so this will be easy to spot. Once Atreus is standing there waiting for a direction, aim at the water with the frost axe which is closer to the wheel, and make it freeze. The wheel will start moving to make way for a path but it is still out of reach of Kratos. You can now order Atreus to press the level which will drop some rocks on the path and they will stop at the same location as the frozen water. Kratos can now call the axe back to aim at the next water wheel which will open up a hook for Kratos to jump the platform.
After jumping to the platform, simply ask Atreus to shoot the rocks to blow them thus moving the platform back.
God of War Ragnarok is available now for the PS4 and PS5. The game has a massive file size on the PS4 and PS5, and there is a day-one update available as well.
