Gotham Knights Debuts Its Story Trailer and Teases a Mysterious Adventure

by Salal Awan

Gotham Knights is taking the Court of Owls storyline from DC Comics and making it into a new video game. A story trailer was released recently during DC Fandome.

The story trailer for Gothan Knights hints at the mysterious Court of Owls and how Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood team up to take them down. There is a certain horror vibe that can be seen reflected in the trailer from the drab, empty buildings that appear to hide the members of this mysterious society to their appearance that resembles an owl.

The story trailer makes it clear that Batman, a.k.a Bruce Wayne is dead from the start of the game. The only playable characters are Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl. The game is co-op focused adventure instead of being a purely single-player experience like the Batman Arkham series. More details are available on the official website.

Gotham Knights allows players to step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. The game will be playable either solo or as a two-player, online cooperative experience.

While Gotham Knights was originally set to release last year, it was delayed to 2022. Just like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, this one doesn’t appear to have a release date yet. It is still coming out in 2022 and will be available on the last and current-generation consoles, unlike the Suicide Squad game.
