Square Enix has officially re-revealed Kingdom Hearts IV during the latest Nintendo Direct, providing a fresh look at the long-awaited action RPG and confirming its launch platforms.

Following the presentation, the official Kingdom Hearts social media account confirmed, “Kingdom Hearts IV will launch simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Epic Games Store and Steam.”

The announcement marks the first major update on the project in some time and confirms that Nintendo Switch 2 players will be able to experience the next mainline entry in the series alongside players on other platforms at launch.

Kingdom Hearts IV serves as the fifteenth installment in the long-running franchise and begins the new “Lost Master” story arc. The game follows series protagonist Sora after he awakens in Quadratum, a realistic world inspired by modern Tokyo that differs significantly from the settings featured in previous entries.

While Square Enix has now confirmed the game’s platforms, the publisher has yet to announce a release date. Additional details are expected to be shared at a later date as development continues.
