Kwalee Signs Publishing Deals for Shift at Midnight, Lily’s World XD, and Welcome to Elderfield

Kwalee has announced global publishing agreements for three upcoming indie titles, each created by solo developers and each bringing a distinct spin on horror and mystery. The games — Shift at Midnight, Lily’s World XD, and Welcome to Elderfield — are all confirmed for release on PC via Steam.

Shift at Midnight, developed by Australian creator Bun Muen, is an online co-op detective horror experience that supports one to three players. Set in a rural gas station during the 1990s, players must uncover which customers are human and which are not. Wrong decisions can lead to setting traps, barricading doors, or fleeing for survival. With procedurally generated runs, no two shifts are ever alike. A free demo is now available on Steam, offering both solo and multiplayer play.

From American developer SonderingEmily comes Lily’s World XD, a psychological horror game centered around the investigation of a young girl’s computer. Players sift through old chats, personal blog entries, and photos, only to encounter unsettling messages directed at them. The title captures an early 2000s internet aesthetic while weaving it into a tense horror narrative.

Rounding out the line-up is Welcome to Elderfield, a farming RPG from Canadian developer Chris Cote that hides darker secrets beneath its cozy surface. While tending crops, fishing, mining, and forging friendships with townsfolk, players will also confront eldritch mysteries, ominous broadcasts, and surreal dreams. A free demo is currently available for download on Steam.

Ben Forrester, VP of PC and Console at Kwalee, praised the collaboration, stating that the company is committed to supporting independent developers with the tools and reach they need while ensuring each game retains its creative vision.
