Monster Hunter World Iceborne is available now for PC. It has added native support for DualShock 4 controller on PC. Here’s how you can use it.
DualShock 4 controller support was previously not available natively in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. While you could technically use the controller to play the game, the button prompts weren’t the standard and it could be confused for an Xbox One controller.
After releasing the latest expansion of Monster Hunter World for PC, Capcom has added native support for DualShock 4 and its button prompts on PC. This means if you prefer Sony’s DualShock 4 controller to play the game, the button prompts will now show up properly.
In order to get the proper DualShock 4 button prompts on PC, you need to check the options menu in the game. Head to Interface and pick Gamepad Button Icon Selection. Change it to Type 2 to get the DualShock 4 button prompts as seen in the image.
This should help those who wanted to see the controller button prompts and were relying on third-party software or mods to get them in the game itself.
Iceborne is the latest expansion in MH World that had a successful launch on PC. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear the launch is flawless as there are several reports of bugs and glitches being faced in the game after the launch of the expansion. It can also lead to the save data getting wiped out.
