Need for Speed 2019 has been leaked by a retail store in Austria and it is out later this year. The leak also has a box art but no release date to go with it.
EA hasn’t officially shown a Need for Speed game at this year’s E3 but they did confirm one will launch in 2019. This was more of a surprise listing by the retailer who might have shared information on it ahead of the official reveal. Usually, these can be taken with a grain of salt since retailers tend to also post listing that they believe to be true but it is not official. In this case, there is box art for the game as well.

At the time of posting this article, the listing is still available to view from the store’s official page but it might get removed if this was a valid leak. The title of the game is listed as Need for Speed: Heat but the logo just says it is Need for Speed 2019. It is likely that the logo and box art are just placeholder given to the retailer.
The last Need for Speed game was released back in 2017. It was developed by Ghost Games who decided to focus on a high stakes action-packed campaign as the central theme for the game. Need for Speed: Heat doesn’t have a developer listed for it but this could be from Ghost Games as well.
