New Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Details Revealed Via Official PlayStation Website

Brand new details for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions’ upcoming title, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, have been revealed via the official PlayStation website.

The official PlayStation web page for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has revealed that the game will feature “incredibly varied environments filled with secrets and unique challenges. The game will also offer players a range of options to tackle both human foes and otherworldly entities, including aggressive, stealthy, and non-hostile approaches.

As per the official PlayStation website, the story in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will continue where the original left off. Like in the first game, the actions of one player can affect how others interact with its world, and vice-versa. The page also mentions names of the main characters featured in the game, with the exception of the giant samurai, who remains a mysterious figure. This includes Sam Porter Bridges and Lou, Fragile, Tarman, Tomorrow, Higgs Monaghan, and Dollman.

The official FAQ on the game’s PlayStation web page states that there is no requirement for players to have played Death Stranding prior to starting Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. However, it is said that familiarity with the first game will help them relate to the gameplay, story and characters of the sequel. Furthermore, the website clarifies that Kojima Productions currently has no plans to incorporate in-game purchases in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Recently, it was reported that the South Korean rating board had classified Death Stranding 2: On the Beach as “Not Available to Minors”. Read about it here.

For the uninitiated, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is an open-world action-adventure game, played from a third-person perspective, where the player must deliver cargo, overcome enemies both human and otherworldly, explore a post-apocalyptic world by foot and vehicle, and piece together a complex and compelling sci-fi story. The game is set for release exclusively for PS5.
