Persona 5 Scramble has received its first gameplay trailer today giving the fans an early look at the game. It also has a release date for Japan.
Atlus has shared the first look for Persona 5 Scramble, an upcoming spin-off that is based on Persona 5. This will be developed by Koei Tecmo and while the initial impression was that this is a musou spin-off, which is a genre that features a single character fighting against hundreds of soldiers, it has turned out to be an ambitious game.
The trailer for Persona 5 Scramble showcases combat, the similar anime-style story cutscenes and also introduces some new characters. Just like it was in the main game, Scramble will offer the player an opportunity to travel all across Japan and visit various locations.
Those who own a Nintendo Switch should be happy to see this trailer because it is the only game in the series to launch on that platform. PS4 owners can still enjoy the upcoming Persona 5 Royal but there is no indication of the game coming to Nintendo Switch or PC.
The game also has a release date now but it is only for Japan. It was confirmed that Persona 5 Scramble will be out on February 20, 2020, for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. As for the rest of the world, we will have to wait and see when Persona 5 Royal launches in the West to get an official release date for Scramble since the new expansion to P5 is out on October 31 in Japan.
