Nintendo and Game Freak’s upcoming entry in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, will feature 2 brand new Mega evolutions, based on a new leak.
New details regarding the upcoming Pokemon title have surfaced via the recent Game Freak leak. Based on the leaked information, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will include 2 new Mega evolutions, namely Mega Zygarde and Mega Zeraora, both of which are also set to appear in the Pokemon Horizons anime.
Furthermore, the leak also revealed that Pokemon Legends: Z-A was originally planned for release this year in 2024 before internally getting pushed to 2025.
The decision to go with a Mega form for Zygarde is rather unexpected, as it already has three forms, with one being a boss from. As such, a Mega evolution seems like a bit of an overkill. Furthermore, some fans may not be happy with the addition of more of these temporary forms that can only be seen in battle. Nevertheless, we’re excited to see how things pan out.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the second game in the Pokémon Legends series, following Legends: Arceus. It is scheduled for release sometime in 2025 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It is set in Lumiose City, located in the Kalos region, which is based on Paris, France, and was first introduced in Pokémon X and Y.
