The price adjustments, which were initially outlined via regional PlayStation Blogs in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Australia, have now extended to include Canada and Turkey. These changes are set to take effect from April 16, 2025, though existing subscribers will not see the new pricing until their next renewal date.
In Canada, PlayStation users began receiving emails notifying them of the revised pricing. According to a user report from the ResetERA forums, the 12-month PlayStation Plus Extra subscription will increase to CAD 189.99. The updated pricing across all tiers is as follows:

- Essential: CAD 109.99
- Extra: CAD 189.99
- Premium: CAD 224.99
Sony stated in its communication to Canadian users that the price hike is necessary to maintain the delivery of high-quality games and benefits through the PlayStation Plus service. The message also advised users that any changes to their subscription, including upgrades or extensions, would be charged according to the new pricing if made after the effective date.
Meanwhile, in Turkey, the pricing adjustment is even more pronounced. The cost of a one-month subscription to PS Plus Essential has nearly doubled, rising from 175 Turkish Lira to 270 Lira. The annual subscription rates for higher tiers are similarly elevated:
