There have been many rumors around Resident Evil 3 Remake including the assumption that it is already in development at Capcom. Resident Evil 2 was a massive success and a critical and commercial hit that launched earlier this year, so it is only natural to assume that more remakes will follow it. Although currently, there is speculation that the third game won’t be remade internally but possibly by a third-party developer.

In any case, it is hard to argue that Capcom won’t remake the third Resident Evil game. They have already remastered Resident Evil 1 and did a full remake of 2, so only time will tell if a third game is also launching this generation. Resident Evil 3 Remake should be easier to do as well since it can reuse some of the same assets as Resident Evil 2.
