Resident Evil 3 Remake is reportedly in development according to a new rumor. Capcom hasn’t officially confirmed this news but they have teased it again.
Resident Evil 3 Remake rumors started to appear shortly after the launch of the Resident Evil 2 Remake. One of the reasons why fans believed that Capcom would remake Resident Evil 3 is because of the legacy of the game itself. Resident Evil 2 and 3 were two back to back mainline games in the franchise that released one and a half years apart.

Resident Evil 2 is set in the Raccoon City and the same is true for Resident Evil 3. In the remake of the second game, Capcom had given Mr. X a bigger role that seems to be similar to how Nemesis works in Resident Evil 3. A lot of the groundwork has already been laid out in the second remake which should technically make it easier to work on the third game.
Earlier this year, speculation around Resident Evil 3 Remake started to appear when Capcom randomly teased Nemesis shortly after the launch of Resident Evil 2 Remake. They have done it again, this time with an artwork that features Jill and Nemesis prominently. They shared this artwork to promote the sale of Resident Evil games on Steam even though the third game is not available on the platform. This artwork was created by Toshiaki Mori, better known as Shinkiro.

Capcom has released most of their projects and they don’t have anything major in the pipeline heading into 2020. They are currently working on a spin-off for Resident Evil series called Project Resistance, which coincidentally also had a teaser for Resident Evil 3. Another game that had hinted at the remake is Teppen, a card game that was released for mobile. At this point, there are far too many hints to deny the existence of the remake of the third Resident Evil and it is only a matter of when Capcom is going to reveal it.
