Rockstar Is Facing Development Issues On GTA V For PS5/XSX, Could Be Delayed To April/May

GTA V is getting an expanded and enhanced release for the PS5 and XSX, but it has been in limbo for a while and could face another delay.

This comes as part of a new rumor after months of a no-show from Rockstar Games. The source is a dataminer from Brazil that appears to have found some new information regarding the development of the game. The leaker also mentions that they have some ambitious plans for GTA Online.

According to this source, the game is facing development issues which is why it could face another delay. While it was originally announced to arrive in early 2021 for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, the release was then pushed back to March 2022.

Even this release window is not feasible now due to the issue that Rockstar Games is reportedly facing with the game. It could lead to another delay to April or May. While they are still hoping to meet their March release window, a delay is also possible.

Rockstar Games hasn’t shared any information on what they are planning to do with this new release of GTA V for PS5 and Xbox Series. Based on the title itself, this sounds like it might add new content to the game including possible story expansions and improved visuals, but they haven’t shown anything in this regard.

Rockstar Games faced a lot of controversies recently after the poor launch of the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. It was plagued with major issues at launch from game-breaking bugs to odd visual glitches and an inconsistent art style. Rockstar Games is still working on fixing these issues while they are also holding back on potential updates for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. There is also a rumor suggesting that they might be working on a Bully successor or remaster.
