Silent Hill 2 Remake Steam Page Receives Major Update, Release Date Announcement Possibly Soon

The Steam store page for Konami’s upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake has received a major update, suggesting that a release date announcement may happen soon.

It has been revealed via SteamDB that the Steam store page for the upcoming survival horror game has been updated with information about the game’s Steam achievements as well as Brazilian and Ukrainian subtitles.

As such, Konami may soon be hosting another Silent Hill transmission for the announcement of a release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake. As of writhing, the publisher has not yet made an official statement in this regard.

Previously, a discord user had shared his Instagram conversation with Silent Hill 2 remake voice actor Luke Roberts, who plays the role of James Sutherland, in which he had asked about the game’s release date. In response Roberts had told the fan that he believed the survival horror title will arrive sometime in early 2024.

A release window of early 2024 suggests that the Silent Hill 2 remake could possibly hit store shelves between the period of January and March. It was not long ago that Bloober Team President Piotr Babieno had stated that the game’s development was almost complete, though he did also mention that a potential release date announcement depended entirely on the publisher, Konami.

Silent Hill 2 is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami. The game serves as a remake of the 2001 classic of the same name, which was originally developed by Team Silent, a group within Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo (KCET). Following the storyline of the original game, players assume the role of James Sunderland (portrayed by Luke Roberts), a grieving widower who returns to the eerie town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary. According to her letter, she awaits his arrival there. The game is set to be released for Windows and as a timed console exclusive for PS5.
