Star Wars: Outlaws Graphics Modes Have Been Leaked

Details regarding the graphics modes featured in the console versions of Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s upcoming action adventure game, Star Wars: Outlaws, have been leaked.

A user who goes by the name of Thisisnotanaccount (via) on streaming platform Kick has been streaming gameplay from their early copy of the PS5 version of Star Wars: Outlaws, revealing new details including the different graphics modes available for players to choose on consoles.

As per the leaked gameplay footage, Star Wars: Outlaws will feature 3 graphics modes, namely Quality, Favor Quality, and Performance. In terms of image quality, the Quality mode runs close to a native resolution of 4K (2160p). Alternatively, the Favor Quality mode likely retains the graphical settings of Quality mode but runs at a lower resolution than in Quality mode. Lastly, as is often the case on current-gen consoles, the Performance mode likely runs at a native resolution of 1440p or below.

With regards to performance, the Quality mode in Star Wars: Outlaws targets a frame rate of 30 fps. On the other hand, the Favor Quality mode targets a frame rate of 40 fps, and is only available on displays that support a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Meanwhile, Performance mode targets a frame rate of 60 fps.

In related news, the review embargo for Star Wars Outlaws is expected to be lifted on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 5 am PT / 2 pm CET. This is four days ahead of the game’s launch on August 30, 2024. Fans can, therefore, look forward to hearing what critics have to say about Kay Vess’ adventure as she assembles a team for a massive heist in order to pay off a crime syndicate. Additionally, the game’s pre-load is expected to go live on the PlayStation Store two days prior to launch, and two days after the review embargo will be lifted i.e. August 28, 2024. It will come with the latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on August 30, 2024.
