Tales of Eternia Remastered Rated by PEGI, Announcement Still Pending

Tales of Eternia Remastered has surfaced via a new PEGI rating, suggesting the project may be closer to release despite not being formally announced by Bandai Namco. The listing, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, assigns the game a PEGI 12 rating for moderate violence and bad language, and points to a Nintendo Switch release dated April 16, 2026.

According to the classification details, the game contains non-realistic depictions of violence against both human and fantasy characters. Combat features pixelated enemies, magical attacks, and a range of weapons, including swords, spears, daggers, and axes. The rating summary notes that encounters can become frenetic, with exaggerated visual effects and characters reacting to damage in a non-detailed manner. It also confirms the presence of language such as “bastard.”

The PEGI description outlines the story as follows: Reid and his companions Farah and Keele, who encounter a mysterious girl named Meredy. As they attempt to understand her origins, the group travels across a dimensional boundary into the world of Celestia, setting up the game’s central journey.

Originally developed by Namco, Tales of Eternia first launched for the PlayStation in November 2000. The title was later brought to PlayStation Portable in 2005, with Ubisoft publishing the game in Europe and Australia in 2006. While this remastered version has yet to be officially revealed, the appearance of a rating typically signals that more concrete information could emerge in the near future.
