Kuro Games used Summer Game Fest to unveil a new trailer for its upcoming Wuthering Waves collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, offering players a closer look at the crossover ahead of Version 3.4’s release on June 8.
The trailer serves as a final preview of The Dream Not Dreamed update, highlighting the arrival of Lucy and Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners while expanding on Lucy Kushinada’s story following the events of the anime. The crossover marks one of the most ambitious collaborations yet for Wuthering Waves, bringing characters, locations, and enemies inspired by CD PROJEKT RED’s acclaimed anime universe into the action RPG.
Version 3.4 introduces a new permanent Episodic Quest titled At Dream’s Edge. The storyline begins after a mysterious disturbance emerges within the Somnoire, leading Rovers to encounter Lucy and Rebecca, who arrive from another world. Together, players will navigate the boundaries between dreams and reality to confront a new threat connected to the collaboration.
A major addition in the update is Somnoire: Night City, a new explorable area inspired by Lucy’s memories. The location draws heavily from the world of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and serves as the setting for several new encounters. Players will face powerful enemies including Nightmare: Adam Smasher, alongside multiple Nightmare variants inspired by Night City’s corporate factions.
Lucy and Rebecca will join the game as collaboration-exclusive Resonators. Kuro Games has also confirmed that players will be able to obtain the 5-Star Resonator Rebecca at no cost through participation in the Instant Flashlight event, giving all players access to one of the crossover’s headline characters.
The newly released trailer runs for more than a minute and showcases how the worlds of Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have been integrated. Alongside gameplay footage and story scenes, the video includes a brief tease of a future area that appears to hint at content beyond Version 3.4. While Kuro Games has not provided additional details, the short glimpse has already sparked speculation about the game’s future direction and potential new regions.
Wuthering Waves is currently available on PlayStation 5, PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, Mac, and mobile devices. An Xbox Series X|S version is scheduled to launch in July 2026.
Version 3.4, The Dream Not Dreamed, arrives on June 8, bringing the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover to players and introducing new story content, characters, enemies, and locations inspired by Night City.
