Yakuza: Like a Dragon is technically the 7th Yakuza game and it has been called as such in Japan, but the Western title was revealed to ditch the numbering in favor of a subtitle. Here is how the logo looks like in English.
There has been some backlash to the announcement mainly from the old supporters of the series. There is some concern that turn-based battles won’t suit the game but this remains to be seen. The Yakuza 7 producer has assured fans that the quality of the game won’t be compromised with a different gameplay system.
