ARC Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 Update Adds Pendola Pass, Outpost and Skill Tree Revamp

ARC Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 is now live, introducing Pendola Pass, new map conditions, three new enemies, two new weapons, Amplified Weapons, and a revamped Skill Tree. The update also adds the Outpost, furniture designs, Weapon Stencils, the Reward Pass system, 22 new quests, and additional progression options.

The update also brings extensive gameplay, item, weapon, map, performance, audio, UI, and stability improvements. Several known issues remain, including problems affecting the Outpost, Pendola Pass, weapon meshes, Field Repair, and the Tether Launcher.

New Content

  • New map: Pendola Pass.
  • New map conditions: Frigate and Redirection.

Skill Tree Revamp

  • Added new skills and improved existing skills to provide more impactful choices for different playstyles.
  • Reshuffled the Skill Tree layout.
  • Replaced the previous large nodes in the middle and at the end of branches with new choices.
  • Middle branch nodes now offer a binary choice between two skills, with only one skill selectable.
  • Players can make the middle branch choice again when resetting the Skill Tree.
  • End-of-branch nodes now offer three skills, with up to two selectable after reaching the required skill point investment.
  • Skill Tree changes may receive further tweaks and updates based on player engagement.

Weapon Stencils

  • Added Weapon Stencils as a new cosmetic option for personalizing weapon appearances.
  • Added 14 Weapon Stencils.
  • Five Stencils are exclusive to the Frozen Trail Premium Pass.
  • One Stencil is exclusive to DLC.
  • Eight Stencils can be found Topside.
  • Stencils work similarly to blueprints and can be applied to compatible weapons after being learned.
  • Applying Stencils requires Stencil Parts found Topside.
  • Stenciled weapons can still be lost and looted by other Raiders if the player is downed.

Outpost

  • Added a new Outpost that can be unlocked by completing a project.
  • Added different modules that can be used to expand the Outpost.
  • Unlocking the Outpost provides access to the Research Station.
  • Added 100 Furniture Designs.
  • Four Furniture Designs are exclusive to the Frozen Trail Pass.
  • One Furniture Design is exclusive to DLC.
  • 73 Furniture Designs can be found Topside.
  • 22 Furniture Designs are unlocked by upgrading the Outpost.
  • Furniture Designs work similarly to blueprints and can be learned and used to craft furniture for the Outpost.

Reward Pass

  • Added the Reward Pass as a new progression system and evolution of Raider Decks.
  • Removed Cred from the game and replaced it with Reward Points.
  • Reward Points are automatically applied to the currently active Reward Pass.
  • Added the Frozen Trail Pass with 60 levels across Free and Premium tracks.
  • Moved existing Raider Decks into the Legacy Pass.
  • Previously unlocked Raider Deck rewards are retained and granted through the Legacy Pass.
  • Players can continue progressing through the Legacy Pass by setting it as the active pass.
  • Only one Reward Pass can be active at a time.

Feats and Weekly Milestones

  • Reworked Feats into Easy, Medium, and Hard categories.
  • Easy Feats grant 15 Reward Points and one weekly milestone progression.
  • Medium Feats grant 25 Reward Points and two weekly milestone progression.
  • Hard Feats grant 50 Reward Points and three weekly milestone progression.
  • Weekly milestones grant 250 Reward Points each.
  • Added three weekly milestones.
  • Milestone 1 requires four weekly milestone progress.
  • Milestone 2 requires eight weekly milestone progress.
  • Milestone 3 requires 12 weekly milestone progress.
  • Feats can still be completed after all weekly milestones are finished, but major milestone rewards remain unavailable until the weekly timer resets.

Twitch Drops

  • Added new backpack attachments through Twitch Drops.
  • Watching for 60 minutes rewards the Oxygen Respirator.
  • Watching for 120 minutes rewards the Mailbox.
  • Twitch Drops are available from October 8 through November 4, 2026.

Animation

  • Adjusted knockback animations to align with the actual direction players are pushed.
  • Fixed an issue where characters could jitter and display broken animations after reconnecting and being revived.
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on small obstacles while sliding.
  • Added animations for interacting with the map and inventory.
  • Added mouth animations for proximity voice chat.
  • Added contextual character animations, including exhaustion after running out of breath and brushing dust off after sliding.
  • Fixed an issue where players could retain items in their hands during knockout animations or certain interactions.
  • Added additional animation polish and tweaks.

ARC

  • Adjusted the Vaporizer’s multi-target laser to provide a clearer window for dodging with fast traversal and dodge mechanics.
  • Added fire status effect visuals for ARC drones.
  • Moved higher tier loot from the armor pieces of the legs to the leg pieces for Queen and Matriarch.
  • Improved AI sight handling to prevent rare enemy awareness detection errors.
  • The Matriarch can once again use all of its ranged attacks.
  • Rebalanced physical force effects against certain ARC enemies.

Audio

  • Adjusted how character sounds are occluded by walls and obstacles for more natural audio positioning.
  • Added more variations to metal groan sound effects.
  • Added missing Snap Hook sound effects for attaching, detaching, and rope movement.
  • Updated Skill Tree unlock sounds.
  • Added a hold interaction audio cue to the UI.
  • Fixed an issue where some weapon sounds could fail to play.
  • Improved the Raider Voice model for higher fidelity voice conversion.

Cosmetics

  • Updated Celeste’s appearance.
  • Added an Emissive Toggle for backpacks with light sources, allowing players to turn off backpack lights.
  • Added the remaining intended toggles to the Zenith Outfit.
  • Players who own the Zenith Outfit will receive the missing toggles shortly.

Gameplay

  • Removed Solo vs. Squads from the matchmaking options.
  • Reworked the explosive damage formula for ARC.
  • Explosive weapons such as the Hullcracker now deal more than 50 percent additional damage against armor plates.
  • Explosive weapons deal around 30 percent less damage against more fragile parts.
  • Increased Stamina gained from Fight or Flight by approximately 25 percent per level.
  • Increased Stubborn Mule stamina regeneration values by approximately 33 percent.
  • Increased Back on Your Feet healing from 30 to 40.
  • Added more contextual Ping information for ARC and various objects.
  • Added two additional Stash upgrade tiers.
  • Increased the maximum Stash Size to 328 slots without Expedition rewards or acquired Nomadic Envoy space.
  • Players can now drop loot directly to the ground from containers.
  • Players can no longer sprint climb ladders while exhausted.
  • Addressed cases where vaulting onto destroyed ARC parts or other movable surfaces could unexpectedly launch or shove players.
  • Weapon slot weight reduction now applies only to the loadout.
  • Other containers and sub containers are unaffected by weapon slot weight reduction.
  • Players can now open the map while downed.
  • Improved hit registration when shooting while on top of ARC.
  • Reduced Heavy Shield durability decay from 0.20 to 0.15.
  • Reduced the Heavy Shield movement penalty from 15 percent to 10 percent.
  • Added Scrambling, allowing players to sprint up steep slopes for a short time.
  • Players now automatically enter a sliding state after tumbling for too long.

Items

  • Increased Flame Spray range to better match its visual effect.
  • Ziplines now break when intersecting something after being placed.
  • Reduced Snap Hook range from 20 meters to 18 meters.
  • Increased Snap Hook durability consumption from 2 percent to 4 percent per use.
  • Increased Snap Hook power cost from 50 to 60.
  • Adjusted the Snap Hook to function as a burst mobility gadget rather than a general use mobility option.
  • Fixed an issue where items could appear outside their intended areas or containers.
  • Items will now only appear within their designated locations.

Weapons

  • Increased Anvil rarity from Green to Blue.
  • Changed the Anvil’s role within the economy while maintaining its existing gameplay and power.
  • The Bantam now takes the role of the uncommon hand cannon.
  • Removed the Anvil Splitter as a usable mod.
  • The Anvil Splitter is now an improved upgrade option for the Amplified Anvil.
  • Removed the Tech Mod slot from the Anvil.
  • The Anvil Splitter should no longer drop, but will remain in the game for a while so players can sell or recycle it into Amplified Fragments used to repair Amplified Weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where Jupiter’s damage could propagate twice to ARC parts behind its intended target.
  • Jupiter is now stronger against armor and slightly weaker against weak spots.
  • Fixed the Hullcracker appearing incomplete when inspected in the menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dolabra would not destroy yellow weak points inside the Harvester.
  • Fixed an issue where weapons picked up from the ground could appear without their attached parts.

Maps

  • Improved Doorblocker alignment for small side sliding doors.
  • Improved texture quality on several maps.
  • Fixed blocky and inconsistent visuals on several maps.
  • Fixed areas where players could become stuck on terrain while Downed.
  • Adjusted areas on map edges that were darker than intended.
  • Improved Blue Gate lighting through changes to exposure, color grading, and atmosphere.
  • Fixed spots on Blue Gate where players could become stuck.
  • Fixed the Hospital Roof in Buried City so it can be climbed.
  • Restored ray traced lighting on boarded window shutters in Buried City.
  • Fixed lighting in Buried City that could bleed into an interior space.
  • Added a Dynamic Loot Zone system exclusive to Pendola Pass.
  • Dynamic Loot Zones can change the value of certain areas between raids.
  • Dynamic Loot Zones do not change the inherent loot type of an area.
  • Increased overall loot value on Riven Tides by approximately 15 percent.
  • Fixed areas where environmental objects could unintentionally float.

Performance

  • Implemented optimizations for memory usage, general performance, and stability.
  • Optimized character customization replication to fix cases where players could see different outfits on other players.
  • Reduced enemy memory usage to improve stability and performance during busy encounters.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when changing graphics settings.
  • Upgraded to AMD FSR version 4.1.1.

Traders

  • Updated trader offers.
  • Celeste now trades materials used for furniture crafting and newly introduced gameplay items.
  • Tian Wen no longer sells Anvil and Hullcracker offers.
  • Anvil and Hullcracker offers are now part of the weekly Nomadic Envoys rotation.
  • Added daily purchase limits for Launcher Ammo and Energy Clips.
  • Shani’s offers are now Coin based.
  • Shani now offers Cameras, Light Sticks, and other social items.
  • Added Epic Augments to Apollo’s offers.
  • Ermal has returned to the trail.
  • Cassio has joined the Nomadic Envoys and trades for valuables while also asking friendly Raiders for help with certain quests.

Quests

  • Completing quests and quest objectives now grants XP.
  • Added XP as a visible reward in quest descriptions and upon quest completion.
  • XP now appears alongside other rewards when claiming completed quests.
  • Updated The League, Reduced to Rubble, Life of a Pharmacist, Battening Down, and Groundbreaking to require the new Camera for photo objectives.

Social

  • Fixed an issue where party joining could fail when accepting game invites on Xbox.
  • Fixed an issue affecting in game Voice Chat, particularly for PS5 and Xbox players.

UI

  • Updated quest list sorting to make progression easier to follow.
  • Fixed an issue where long lists could disappear while scrolling through Settings.
  • Fixed an issue where Nomadic Trader offers could appear in the Acquire Resources menu.
  • Improved mouse responsiveness for Emote and Quick Wheels.
  • Updated the End of Round screen to preview milestone progress and rewards earned during the round.
  • Added milestone updates to the in round log.
  • Fixed an issue where learning certain recipes could display an incorrect unknown not installed message instead of a proper unlock notification.
  • Fixed the recipe notification issue for Snap Hook, Blaze Grenade, and Crash Mat.
  • Fixed formatting and text display for in round daily quest notifications.
  • Store panels now scroll when content exceeds the screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the last Store toggle could be blocked and become unselectable.
  • Fixed an issue where not all round data would reliably appear on the End of Round Map screen.
  • Fixed an issue where closing the Inventory during matchmaking could disable gamepad navigation until another screen was selected.

VFX

  • Fixed an issue where burning visual effects could remain stuck on other players after the effect ended.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause terrain textures to appear as blocky or mismatched squares on some maps when using higher graphics presets.

Duplicated Items

  • Began further action against accounts storing high amounts of duplicated items.
  • Removed items obtained through duplication from player inventories.
  • The changes are intended to correct the in game economy and remove items introduced through past exploits.

Known Issues

  • Weapon meshes can sometimes become partially invisible when equipped with weapon attachments.
  • Vaulting onto destroyed ARC parts and similar movable surfaces can rarely launch or shove players unexpectedly.
  • Footsteps can become inaudible when swapping shoulders while sprinting.
  • Field Repair may sometimes be unavailable after unlocking it.
  • Restarting the game can resolve the Field Repair issue.
  • The Tether Launcher currently cannot be repaired.
  • The Tether Launcher repair issue is planned to be fixed in an upcoming update.
  • Some players can very rarely spawn into a lobby invisibly and become unable to loot, use Quick Wheel items, or interact with containers.
  • Players affected by the invisible lobby issue can still fire weapons and take damage.
  • Returning to Speranza should restore the loadout to its state before the affected match.
  • Hydra can detect and shoot players through walls in the Cargo area.
  • Standing on the side of the Cargo drop can instantly eliminate players.
  • Outpost fixes are mostly already in development for an upcoming Live Update.
  • The first Outpost project step, Research Topside Living Conditions, requires a photo of a farmland house.
  • The Camera can be purchased from Shani, crafted at the Workbench, or found Topside.
  • Some furniture can clip through the Outpost structure.
  • Some Outpost slots can become unselectable when furniture blocks them.
  • The Camera can become blocked by furniture or the character model from certain angles.
  • Outpost lighting can become corrupted when Shadow quality is set to Low.
  • The Camera can return to the base room after leaving decorating view even when another module was being viewed.
  • Raiders can clip through tables when sitting beside a table with chairs.
  • The Raider can step back from the Customization view with a 10 second delay.
  • The Outpost tab can lack its orange dot indicator after completing the first stage objectives.
  • The cinematic can fail to trigger after completing the Sizing Things Up quest.
  • The Picking up the Pieces quest cannot currently be completed on Pendola Pass.
  • The Picking up the Pieces issue will be fixed in an upcoming update.
  • The Damage dealt using Light Impact Grenades feat can be completed using the Hullcracker.
  • Some weapons may rarely fail to play firing sounds on low specification PCs, particularly the Anvil.
  • Rubber Ducks can be squeezed while equipped, producing noise without being thrown.
  • Weapon meshes can sometimes partially disappear.
  • Players who recently departed on the Expedition can have a notification dot on the Projects and Raider tab that does not disappear.
  • Keybinds can reset to default after each raid when using a non English keyboard layout.
  • The Expedition screen can still be accessed through the Nomadic Envoys, although it is not functional.
  • Loadout weight can differ slightly between the Speranza display and the in game display.
  • The Premium Reward Pass can continue showing a lock icon on premium rewards after they have been unlocked.
  • Loadout weight can differ between the Main Menu and in round display.
  • Pendola Pass has various clipping and collision issues.
  • Vaulting onto some steep surfaces on Pendola Pass can occasionally cause players to slide back down.
  • Vaulting onto destroyed ARC parts or other movable surfaces on Pendola Pass can unexpectedly launch or shove players.

ARC Raiders was released on October 30, 2025, for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was developed by Embark Studios and published by Nexon.
