Ubisoft has updated Assassin’s Creed Origins to version 1.44 today. This update is only out for PS4 and potentially the Xbox One. It improves overall stability of the game.
Origins was directed by Ashraf Ismail who is also working on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. He had announced his decision to step down from the role of creative director on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla citing family reasons. Ubisoft hasn’t announced any replacement in his place for the position of creative director.

Origins was the first game in the series to offer a complete reboot of the franchise. It focused on RPG-like mechanics with action combat and ditched the series’ trademark stealth gameplay. The game offered a massive open-world for the players to explore as well.
The patch notes for Assassin’s Creed Origins update 1.44 don’t mention any major changes. It is a little surprising why Ubisoft has updated the game now but it could relate to some minor changes. The update size is barely significant and it is just under 100 MB depending on the platform.
