CD Projekt’s Q1 2026 earnings presentation has provided a fresh look at the company’s development pipeline, revealing continued growth across several major projects led by The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.

According to staffing data included in the report, The Witcher 4 remains the studio’s largest active project by a considerable margin. As of April 30, 2026, the game was being developed by 513 employees, up from 499 at the end of February. The figure represents more than half of CD Projekt’s development workforce, underscoring the project’s status as the company’s primary focus.

Cyberpunk 2, previously known as Project Orion, also expanded during the quarter. The sequel’s development team grew from 149 to 163 developers between February and April, making it CD Projekt’s second-largest project currently in production.

Elsewhere, Project Sirius, the Witcher spin-off being developed by The Molasses Flood, increased its headcount from 71 to 83 developers. While the company did not share any new information regarding the game’s content or release plans, the staffing increase suggests development continues to progress following the project’s earlier restructuring.

Project Hadar, CD Projekt’s first entirely original intellectual property, remains in the earliest stages of development. The project saw a slight reduction in staff from 26 developers to 24, though the game is widely believed to still be in pre-production.

The report also highlighted a significant rise in development spending. Total expenditure on development projects increased from PLN 1.148 billion at the end of 2025 to PLN 1.318 billion by March 31, 2026. During the first quarter alone, CD Projekt invested nearly PLN 180 million into ongoing development efforts.

One of the most notable elements of the presentation was the appearance of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past. The project was featured prominently in presentation materials with a “Coming 2027” label attached. CD Projekt recently announced Songs of the Past as a new expansion for The Witcher 3, confirming it is being co-developed with Fool’s Theory and scheduled for release in 2027.

Despite providing updated staffing figures and investment data, CD Projekt did not announce release windows for The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, Project Sirius, or Project Hadar.

The latest figures indicate that CD Projekt continues to concentrate resources on its two largest franchises while simultaneously investing in future Witcher projects and new intellectual property. With development teams growing across multiple projects and spending reaching new highs, the company appears to be entering one of its busiest production periods to date.
