A new rumor suggests Ubisoft may be planning a remastered version of Rayman Origins for modern platforms, potentially as part of a broader revival of the long-running platforming franchise.
The claim comes from social media user Intercellular, also known as “asdf,” the same individual who previously leaked the reported Rayman Legends Retold logo and has been linked to other gaming leaks involving projects such as Assassin’s Creed and Fortnite.
According to the latest post, Rayman Origins is set to receive a remaster for current-generation platforms. The leaker further suggested the project could be revealed alongside Rayman Legends Retold, which has yet to be officially announced by Ubisoft.
The timing has led to speculation that both titles could appear during an upcoming PlayStation State of Play presentation, though no official evidence currently supports that possibility.
Originally released in 2011, Rayman Origins marked a major return to the series’ 2D roots and introduced Ubisoft’s UbiArt Framework engine. The game received widespread praise for its hand-drawn visuals, challenging platforming, and cooperative gameplay, later serving as the foundation for the critically acclaimed Rayman Legends in 2013.
Ubisoft has not commented on the rumors, and neither Rayman Origins Remaster nor Rayman Legends Retold has been officially confirmed. As with all leaks, the information should be treated with caution until an official announcement is made.
