Cyberpunk 2077 will get a next-generation patch today for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles along with a free trial of the game.
CD Projekt Red is going to host a live stream for Cyberpunk 2077 today at 7 AM PST. There are already reports suggesting that they are going to drop the next-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077 during this event, and it is confirmed at this point thanks to an early blog post from Xbox Netherlands.
As shared by Twitter user Nibel, the blog post was shared on the Twitter account of Xbox Netherlands and points to the game coming to Xbox Series S|X today. There are also some reports suggesting that it might be heading to Xbox Game Pass as the game was seen playable using Xbox Cloud with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, although it doesn’t necessarily mean it will be available on the subscription service.
CD Projekt Red had already confirmed that the next-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077 would arrive in Q1 2022. The launch of the PS5 and XSX versions is in the middle of February 2022, so this might be the case after all. While this is by no means an official announcement that the game is coming, we are just a few hours away from the actual news.
