Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Dune Part 2 will be available to stream rather soon, based on this release date.
Dune Part 2 Streaming Release Date
The release date comes courtesy of WhenToStream, which has listed Dune Part 2 for streaming on April 2, 2024. This is for the PVOD version of the movie which is usually $25 and available on platforms like Apple, Google, and Amazon.
However, there is a possibility that the April 2 date might be an error. Even so, Dune: Part Two is bound by a 45-day theatrical exclusivity window, ensuring its availability on PVOD and for streaming no later than April 15. This development assures fans that the wait to enjoy the movie from the comfort of their homes will be brief, following its cinematic release.
Directed and produced by Denis Villeneuve, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts, Dune: Part Two is the continuation of the story from Dune (2021). This second installment of a two-part adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel follows Paul Atreides and his alliance with the Fremen of Arrakis in their battle against House Harkonnen. The film sees the return of stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson, among others, with new talents such as Austin Butler and Florence Pugh joining the ensemble cast.
The movie has been a massive success for Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment. It has generated more than $600 million at the worldwide box office and continues to run in cinemas. It is projected to pass $700 million by the end of its cinema run, making it twice as successful as the first Dune. While the first movie launched at a time when the world was still gripping with COVID, it still managed to turn a nice profit despite launching same day and date on HBO Max. The sequel not only opened higher but will end up grossing almost twice the box office made by the first movie.
