Martin said, “Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on ELDEN RING… I have nothing to say.  Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum.   What rumor?”

He denial seemed more of a hint that either a movie or a TV adaptation based on FromSoftware’s action role-playing game either has or will go in production. We’ll likely get to hear more on this in the months to come, but the idea of an Elden Ring movie with more elaborate storytelling and characterization does sound enticing.

In related new, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki mentioned during an interview that lowering the game’s difficulty would strip “a fundamental part of the experience”. According to him, if the development team at FromSoftware really wanted the whole world to play the game, it could just crank the difficulty down more and more. However, he remained firm that this isn’t the right approach. Miyazaki believes that, had the studio taken this approach, the game would not have done what it did, because the sense of achievement that players gain from overcoming hurdles is such a fundamental part of the experience. He added that turning down difficulty would strip the game of that joy, which, in his view, would break the game itself.
