Elden Ring Network Test Schedule & Sign Up Date
As for the schedule, the Elden Ring Nightreign network test will take place sometime in the month of February, 2025. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners who are interesting in participating will be required to register. Registration will begin from January 10, 2025. As of writing, there is no information on the possibility of a network test for PC.
Recently, during an interview, Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki was asked whether the upcoming title will feature the asynchronous online player message system that a majority of FromSoftware’s games are known for. In his response, Ishizaki stated that, while players will still be able to see ghosts of other players, the ability for them to leave messages for others has been removed. According to him, the reason for removing the iconic player message system from Elden Ring Nightreign is that each of the game’s sessions is about 40 minutes long. As such, players will not be afforded the time to write their own message, or read those left by others.
Furthermore, the director revealed another major change from Elden Ring and prior FromSoftware titles. Once taken out, smaller enemies will not be revived when players rest at a site of grace. He also mentioned that ashes will be present in Elden Ring Nightreign, though the way they are handled is different from what was seen in Elden Ring.
