For the uninitiated, Wild Card Football is an arcade-style American football game released in October, 2023 for PC and consoles. It was developed and published by Saber Interactive. Similar to the studio’s previous games like NBA Playgrounds, it offers a more arcade-like experience compared to the Madden NFL series.
Players can choose from hundreds of professional players, reimagined Playgrounds-style, and assemble the ultimate 7-on-7 gridiron squad. They will have the opportunity to advance through different challenges and events to unlock new players and other exciting rewards. Additionally, they can use over 150 Wild Cards to turn the tide of the game in their favor in an instant. Special moves can be used like summoning walls or invisibility to boost the team’s stats at a crucial moment. A Rule-Breaker can also be played in order to completely flip the rules of the game. The game features a single-player Season mode, online multiplayer with matchmaking crossplay as well as local multiplayer.
