Paramount has released the first full-length trailer for its upcoming Street Fighter film, offering a closer look at the live-action reboot ahead of its theatrical debut later this year.
The trailer introduces the film’s central premise, set in 1993, where Ryu and Ken Masters are drawn back into conflict. The official description states, “Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury.” It adds that a larger conspiracy unfolds behind the tournament, pushing the characters toward a confrontation shaped by their pasts.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film aims to bring the long-running fighting game franchise to modern audiences with a more grounded yet spectacle-driven approach. The cast includes Andrew Koji as Ryu and Noah Centineo as Ken, alongside Callina Liang as Chun Li.
Additional casting choices point toward a broader ensemble, with Jason Momoa set to portray Blanka and David Dastmalchian taking on the role of M. Bison. WWE performers Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are also part of the lineup, suggesting a mix of action-focused talent and established actors.
Street Fighter is scheduled to release in theaters on October 16, 2026, as Paramount looks to reintroduce the franchise to the big screen with a new interpretation.
